Summer of Service

Attention FCC Children, Youth, Families and Everyone in between: Get ready to serve your community and your church this summer! 

Throughout the summer we have planned opportunities for kiddos, their family, and church family, to serve and then gather for time together outdoors. Here is the lineup:

  • June 3rd 5:30pm: Cleanup the FCC neighborhoods, pizza party and playtime at the Red Wagon park area follows.
  • ***TIME CHANGE*** June 24th 5pm: Closet2Closet donation drive and serve, 7pm Ice Cream and playtime at Browning Park.
  • July 12th 9am: World Relief International Food Pantry donation drive and serve, Swimming in afternoon Moline pool. 
  • Mid July- Mid August: Kindness Project led by our resident flower expert Kim Fuller. Kim will lead children in clearing and planting FCC flowers bed in May, then water and nurture their growth through the summer, then harvest and share blooms with the community.

World Relief International Food Pantry

Please consider donating to cover the cost of this food pantry project. Over 80 families are served monthly, and $15 donation will sponsor food for one family.

Closet2Closet Donation Drive

Children and teens in the foster care system access clothing and hygiene items at Closet2Cloest for no cost. We are collecting donations for child and teen hygiene and new socks and underwear. If you would like to contribute monetarily, a $20 donation will purchase these items for a child or teen shopping at Closet2Closet.
