June Church Status

Press play to listen to the latest update from council!

Dear FCC Friends and Members,

Council recently met to discuss plans to reopen our church.  After much consideration, we decided to continue our position of exercising caution and to proceed accordingly.

  • We have decided to not open the church for congregational worship during the month of June.
  • We have realized all the minor yet important details that will need to be made in order to successfully reopen the church.  We feel we can formulate a better plan over the next few weeks.
  • We will continue to worship together through FCCLive during the church’s closure. (FCCLive link here)

In the grand scheme of things and considering the history and life of our church, what we are going through, while it seems to be taking forever, is really a blip on the historic radar screen.  Our church has been in existence for 176 years which is a drop in the bucket when you consider how long churches have been in existence and how long our Lord has been with us.  We need to put what we are experiencing into perspective.  Let’s continue with our patience.  We are a strong and resilient congregation.

Sincerely,

Rev. Michael Swartz, Pastor michael@fccmoline.org
