Summer Of Service: Kindness Project

…Summer of Service: GROWING KINDNESS PROJECT UPDATE

Friends,

I wanted to share some exciting news with all of you. As many of you know, I have a passion for growing flowers. Especially Dahlias. Earlier this year, I was chosen to be an ambassador for the Growing Kindness Project. The GKP is a non-profit with the mission to empower, educate, and encourage individuals to cultivate kindness and connection in their communities by growing and giving flowers.

I would LOVE for church members to get involved! I have already heard from some of you. I have started growing some flowers at the church in the beds at the far west side of the parking lot. They will not be blooming for several more months. So right now watering is the most critical need. Once the flowers are blooming, my goal is to plan some events so people can make cut flower bouquets to give away to people in the community. I grow lots of flowers at the farm in Geneseo as well, so there will be plenty of flowers to share! I am hoping to get both kids and adults involved.

I will be keeping y’all posted as the season progresses.

Thanks for all of the support I have received so far. I am excited to share my love of flowers with everyone.
