Finance Manager

Reports to: Senior Pastor Effective Date:

Status: Part-time (20-25 hours per week)
FLSA: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Job Summary

Essential Functions

  • Manage financial affairs of church including receipt and disbursement of funds, and processing payroll.
  • Oversee financial processes to assure compliance with accepted accounting principles.
  • Maintain financial records and data (bookkeeping).
  • Create annual budget, advising board and committees as needed.
  • Track and report financial data.
  • Organize financial data for planning and decision-making.
  • Forecast income and expenses on an on-going basis.
  • Identify and analyze financial opportunities and risks as needed.
  • Anticipate and take action regarding impact of financial decisions.
  • Create financial reports to assist boards and committees with decision-making.
  • Conduct semi-annual audit process.

Other Responsibilities

  • Supporting Building and Finance Board and attending meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MS Office Suite.
  • Advanced skill using MS Excel.
  • Bachelor Degree, Accounting.
  • Proficient in Fund Accounting.

Physical Requirements
Ability to use computers, answer phones, and organize office supplies.
